Dr. Reginald Taylor is a pastor, preacher, teacher, author, leadership coach, and community developer whose life and ministry are centered on teaching the Word of God and developing others through faith, education, and leadership. He serves as Pastor of The Rock Church–Memphis, where his ministry reflects a commitment to biblical teaching, discipleship, community impact, and building the Kingdom of God.

Known by many as “The Walking Bible,” Dr. Taylor has developed a reputation for his extensive knowledge, memorization, and recall of Scripture. His ministry has taken him into a variety of preaching, teaching, and leadership settings, allowing him to share the Gospel and equip individuals for spiritual and personal growth.

Dr. Taylor’s academic background reflects his dedication to biblical scholarship and lifelong learning. He earned an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Shelby State Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Crichton College of Memphis, and a Master of Christian Studies from Union University. He also holds a Master of Divinity, a Master of Theology, and a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Expository Preaching from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Dr. Taylor has served in higher education as Director of Urban Theological Studies at MCUTS and as an Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Union University. His training also includes certification in Urban Youth Evangelism and Urban Youth Discipleship through Youth for Christ International, as well as certification in the Essentials of Expository Preaching through the Stephen Olford Institute of Expository Preaching.

As an author, conference speaker, Bible instructor, church planter, preacher, and educator, Dr. Taylor combines scholarship with practical ministry experience. His work is driven by a desire to teach truth, strengthen leaders, serve communities, and help others develop a deeper understanding of Scripture.
